The LSRA has published its third six-month update on progress to address barriers facing aspiring and early career solicitors and barristers, covering the period from October 2025 to March 2026.
The latest report highlights a number of developments progressed with the professional bodies — the Law Society of Ireland, the Honorable Society of King’s Inns and The Bar of Ireland — including expanded training routes, financial supports and diversity initiatives.
These developments form part of a wider programme of work to implement 32 recommendations set out in the LSRA’s Breaking Down Barriers report, submitted to the then Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee TD, in January 2024 and welcomed as “meaningful reforms that will make a real difference”.
