Legal partnerships are an innovative business structure for the delivery of legal services. Legal partnerships can be either solicitor-barrister or barrister-only and must include at least one practising barrister.

The LSRA introduced the regulatory framework for legal partnerships in September 2024.

We have published a FAQs document with information on the rules and obligations for solicitors and barristers who may be interested in establishing legal partnerships.

There is also further information on our Legal Partnerships page.
