What to Expect from Us
The Legal Services Regulatory Authority (LSRA) uses X and LinkedIn to share news and information about our work.
Our posts help legal practitioners, consumers of legal services, and the wider public stay informed about legal services regulation in Ireland.
You can expect to see:
- Updates on our publications and reports
- Consultation notices and reminders
- Information on new or updated legislation
- Statistics and analysis about the complaints we receive and investigate
- Notices for solicitors and barristers
- Guidance for consumers of legal services
- News about LSRA events, speeches and presentations
- Recruitment updates
- Posts from other public bodies and stakeholders that may be of interest
Who we follow and engage with
We follow or connect with organisations and individuals relevant to our work, including:
- Legal professional bodies, law schools and universities
- Public bodies, regulators and statutory agencies
- Non-governmental organisations and consumer bodies
- Law firms and legal publications
Engagement through follows, likes, shares or reposts does not imply endorsement of any kind.
As an independent statutory body, the LSRA does not participate in party-political discussions or commentary.
When we post and respond
Our social media accounts are managed by the LSRA’s Communications, Research and Innovation Department.
They are normally updated and monitored during office hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
We may occasionally post outside these hours, for example from events.
We welcome feedback and read all comments, mentions and messages.
While we may not be able to reply to every query, we aim to respond where appropriate and relevant.
Moderation
We encourage courteous and professional engagement.
We may hide, delete or report comments or messages that are:
- Aggressive, abusive or offensive
- Misleading, defamatory or discriminatory
- Promotional or spam in nature
Users who repeatedly post such content may be blocked or reported to the platform.
Contacting the LSRA
Messages sent via X or LinkedIn are not considered official correspondence with the LSRA.
